Frequently asked questions
What makes a business "high-risk"?
Higher-than-average chargebacks, a regulated industry (CBD, nutraceuticals, adult, gaming), subscription or continuity billing, high-ticket sales, or a history of processor terminations. Underwriting is more rigorous, and reserves or higher rates may apply.
How long does underwriting take?
Most applications are reviewed within 3 to 7 business days. Complete documentation and a clean history move faster. Complex files, such as multiple MIDs, international processing, or prior terminations, can take 1 to 3 weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline up front.
Can I get approved if a previous processor terminated me?
Often, yes. A prior termination, or even a listing on the MATCH (TMF) list, doesn't automatically disqualify you. We'll need a clear explanation, any steps you've taken since, and current financials. Approval isn't guaranteed.
What is a rolling reserve?
A percentage of daily processing, often 5 to 10%, held for a set period, commonly 180 days, to cover potential chargebacks and refunds. Funds then release on a rolling basis. Whether you need one depends on your industry, history, and volume.
What documents do I need?
A signed application, business formation documents, EIN letter, a voided business check or bank letter, 3 to 6 months of business bank statements, 3 to 6 months of prior processing statements (if any), government ID for each owner, and a clear refund policy on your website. Some industries need additional licenses.
Get approved, directly.
Don't let a traditional processor's risk appetite hold your business back.
