Dual Pricing & Cash Discount Programs
Show customers a cash price and a card price, let them choose, and stop absorbing the full cost of every card swipe.
Why dual pricing works
- Lower processing costs
- Offering a cash price lets you offset much of what you pay in card processing fees.
- Compliance support
- We configure your pricing, signage, and receipts to card-brand rules and the requirements in your state.
- No manual math
- Prices adjust automatically at checkout. Your staff doesn't calculate anything.
- Clear for customers
- Signage and receipts show both prices, so customers know their options before they pay.

How it works
Display both prices.
Cash and card prices are shown clearly before the customer chooses how to pay.
The customer chooses.
Pay with cash and receive the cash price, or pay by card at the card price.
Checkout adjusts automatically.
Your terminal or POS applies the right price for the payment method.
You keep more.
Less of every sale goes to processing fees.
What you could save
Many merchants offset most of their processing cost, typically 2 to 3% of card volume. On $1 million in annual card sales, that can mean $20,000 to $30,000 a year staying in the business.*
- No hidden fees
- Compliance setup support included
- Works with most POS systems and terminals
- Signage, receipt formatting, and staff training provided

Frequently asked questions
How is dual pricing different from a surcharge?
A surcharge adds a fee on top of the listed price when someone pays by credit card. Dual pricing lists the card price and offers a discount for cash. The customer experience can look similar, but the card-brand and legal treatment are different, and surcharging carries more state-level restrictions.
Do I need new equipment?
Usually not. Our program works with most modern POS systems and terminals. If yours isn't compatible, we'll recommend an affordable replacement before you commit.
How much will I actually save?
Most merchants offset the bulk of their card processing cost, typically 2 to 3% of card volume. Your exact number depends on how many customers pay by card versus cash and your current rate. Send us a statement, and we'll run the numbers for your business.
Will my customers push back?
When both prices are posted clearly, most customers recognize it immediately; gas stations have done it for decades. We provide signage templates and a short staff script so the rollout goes smoothly.
